Action/Locked to Barry
It's a sad day when Cisco can't even remember the last time he saw his best friend. They're trapped in the same time-altered city, and yet they've hardly seen each other at all in the time they've been here.
Well no more!
He sends Barry a text with a location and a time, followed by a promise of intense bro bonding. (If the time he gives Barry is roughly twenty minutes before he intends to be there, that'll just be his little secret. He knows his bro.) It'll be good to get a chance to just talk, not worrying about aberrations or alternate universes or freaking dragons. Just Barry and Cisco. Like it should be.

.. okay so he's been distracted too. A talk with Savitar that went.. well let's just say it went. It didn't end in violence so that's something?
Between that and Barney, he's kind of been busy.
But he will always, always make time for Cisco.
They agree on the park where Barney can wander and practice his hunting or just flop on Barry and demand attention. He stops off for food and is just setting it down on the grass when he catches sight of his best friend.
"Hey." Sunny smile.
Time for a hug.

He hauls Barry in, giving him a warm hug. He'd almost forgotten how nice it was to just hug someone you love. They definitely shouldn't go this long without seeing each other again.
Once the hug ends, Cisco drops onto the grass beside him, watching Barney hunt and peck at the grass. He still can't believe Barry has a freaking dinosaur.
"So," he starts, turning to him with a grin. "Things have been kind of crazy, huh?"
no subject
Barry glances over at the little raptor, content that it seems to be hunting bugs and not going after Cisco or his shoes. "Completely crazy," he agrees. "Broken time, different periods to visit." A glance to the skies. "Dragons.. I guess?"
no subject
It's a gentle prompt. One Barry doesn't have to take. But he's sure having Savitar around has been rough for his best friend, and if he wants to talk about it, Cisco is right here.

A smile that fades into an almost-grimace at the mention of Savitar. Barry's been trying, he really has. "Yeah. That's.. that's been a lot to handle. For both of us." And not really in the best ways.
"I have no idea what I'm doing around him," he admits in a rush. "I mean we've run together, I invited him to watch the dinosaurs with me and Barney one morning, but I still feel like I'm walking on eggshells. One second we're ready to start yelling and the next he's talking about Mom."
no subject
"I know, man. Sometimes I feel like there's so much of you in him, and when he realizes it, he shuts down. One too many pop culture references and he turns into a statue."
There's only so much anyone can do from the outside looking in, but Cisco's been trying. And apparently, so has Barry.
no subject
"I want to help him. I know we can't help him back home but here.. maybe we could fix those mistakes. But I think he hates me too much to want it."
no subject
Of that, he is completely sure. His best friend isn't capable of the cruelty Savitar is.
"He doesn't hate me," he offers, though he isn't sure what good that'll do. "At least, I don't think so. He's going to let me make his apartment less depressing, so that's something?"
no subject
Said fond smile turns lighter. "What's this I hear about you rooming with Heatwave?"
no subject
The question makes him falter- he's not blushing, he's not- and he has to clear his throat.
"He saved me from a dinosaur when I first got here," he explains. "And then when he got powers, I promised I'd help him figure out how to use them. It was only fair."

"Okay,so I may have underestimated what spending so much time with the guy would mean," he says. "Doesn't mean there's a chance in Hell it'll happen."
no subject
After all he doesn't have much ground to stand on considering the flirting/banter he usually engaged in with Snart when he was alive.
"Um. I mean. Do you think he's even.. you know, into guys?" He and Snart were closer than close but that's a dangerous assumption to make.

He knows virtually nothing about Mick's life. For all he knows, the man could be a raging homophobe. Although, he's never heard a bad word about Sara, so maybe not.

It's not like it's a crush or anything. It's totally not.

Clearly some speedster intervention is needed.
"Dude, you shouldn't have to just wallow like that."
no subject
Though, usually time and space is what does it. He lives with the source of the problem.

Barry glances up at a trill, whistling in response to Barney. "Still here dude."
no subject
"Hey, buddy," he calls, shifting up onto his knees and offering out a hand for him to sniff.
no subject
But that's okay. He'll talk to Savitar. One of the few things they can agree on are the people they care about, and Cisco is absolutely one of them.
He watches Barney move closer, head bobbing as he takes in Cisco. "That's right buddy. Just give him a sniff."
Barney trills again, nosing at Cisco's hand.
no subject
Cisco beams, very gently petting the dinosaur's head. He's not quite sure if petting a dinosaur is different from petting any other kind of animal, but he'll be super careful just in case.
"Do you have any idea how big he's gonna get?" he asks.
no subject
"I'm not sure. Bart's been helping me with him and we're thinking he's gonna get a lot bigger. Like person sized or better. Maybe Utahraptor."
"I got a first floor apartment near here so he can go outside when he wants."
no subject
"This isn't gonna be like a Jurassic World type situation, right? Where the raptors Owen raised from birth try to eat him half the time?" He worries, Barr.
