What: Everything Savitar Hates

It's not weird.
It's not weird.
It's not weird. It's not.
Kara raises her hand and knocks on Savitar's door.

It's not weird. It's not.
Kara raises her hand and knocks on Savitar's door.
(Oh, Rao.)

Buuuut.
"But - " Because it was true. " - we were just discussing the apartment."
Sort of? Almost? They might have been headed that way?

"I just was dropping by before this guy collapses into a black hole of brood."
no subject
And one step opens for another.
"Or did you not just imply you might still not have plates to eat on?"
no subject
no subject
Bart Allen, ever helpful.
no subject
That look only becomes stronger when Bart backs it up with proof.
"So you definitely need dishes, then."

"I had to go a few sections over and get more towels today anyway," Kara says. "I could pick some up?"
Or a full set. You know. Because then when company came, he'd have things for company, too.

He shrugs. "The couch stinks. Actually, the whole apartment looks like the kind of thing a rebellious teenager would love to have. Just warn me before you start piercing everything."
no subject
Plus, he's a little. What is a good word for it? Rambunctious?
Still, she says, "It's really not a problem."
"Unless you wanted to be able to pick them out yourself?"

"I mean, really, somebody needs to brighten up this place, and one no-maintenance flower won't be enough. Ever thought about pets? Dr. Helen got me a puppy when I was living with Max. I miss Dox."
no subject
"You could come with me, then."
Or, really. "You both could."
She'll even smile and add just for your benefit, because it could, might, maybe even by fun, Savitar. "I started looking for things a few days ago, so I already know where all the best places are."
no subject
And back to Kara: "Promise me right now, we're not getting a dog. I do not need a dog."
no subject
He doesn't like it.
"He totally could use a dog. The kind that would force him to make friends."
no subject
Yet.Her hands go up. "Woah. I just said plates."
"Maybe a whole set if you like them enough."
Or she can slip them into a cart without you seeing.
She'd like to make sure a person can live in this apartment,
before she needs to make sure a pet can. Or is visited enough.
no subject
"Fine. Sure." He guesses. It's not like nothing he has isn't clean, despite Bart's insistence he must have raided a trash bin.
no subject
He could show him the AV room in the Tower, but somehow that seemed a little odd.
"Have you ever had a dog? Dogs are awesome. And give you excuses to run and stuff."
no subject
"That's still a yes, though, right?" Just to be certain. What with how excited he does not sound, which demands solid book details she is not passing on for the running jokes. She did not pass as an amazing assistant for so many years for absolutely no reason. "Like right now? Or in a few hours?"
no subject
And a glance back at Kara: "Fine is a yes, yes."
no subject
"What do you think, Kara?"
Still, he heads to open the door and hold it open.

Enough it sidelines the momentary victorious thrilled of success at that flicker of interest it seemed like Savitar suddenly had. Or. Well. Maybe not interest. But it was definitely more give than the other no, no, no answers that had been being thrown out. "What name?"
Yes. She skipped the word before it in repeating the question, but she didn't skip hearing it.
Mentions of murder do tend to forestall one from getting on the road to go shopping.
