Savitar has absolutely no idea who would possibly be knocking at his door. So he's a little suspicious when he opens it, letting it ajar a crack to peer out before opening it the rest of the way in perplexion. "Kara."

"Hi." That's a little rushed, but she's here, and he opened the door, and she has to say something.

Maybe there's a bit of a slightly tight and nervous smile to go with it. She's not entirely sure how any of this goes, but they are both stuck, and even if he's been very clear that he's not Barry, he's still very much that, or was that, or looks it, or once was, and she can't just pretend she doesn't feel like she should try. Wants to. Keeps thinking about doing something.

He has no idea how he should be acting around her. On one hand, Kara Danvers had had no hand in anything that happened to him. On the other...well. On the other, what? Why is she here?

"What's going on?"

That's a good question, and she has to have an answer, doesn't she?

For as much as she went over and over words in her head getting here, they all seem to leave her. She's still not quite sure how to look at his face and keep any part of herself fully in line with everything he told her already. It's not even just as simple as another world. But. Words. Words, she's supposed to be answering, and she takes a breath in, just pushing some out suddenly;

"I thought I would come by and say hi, which I already said, hi, when you opened the door--" There's the raise of a hand, because that all went far less anything like gracefully and straight than she meant it too, and there's a helpless sort of fluster to it, before she just lets that breath out and her shoulders drop, hands finding each other and twisting slightly. "I was wondering how you're doing and thought it couldn't hurt to stop by?"

He stares at her for a long moment. Why, after everything he told her about who he is and what he was doing and had already done, she'd want to have anything to do with him he has no clue or idea. But she's here. And standing in the hall conversing is....ill advised, isn't it?

"Did you want to come in?"

The surprised smile comes with obvious relief, and even just a little surprise. It gets all over Kara and she nods. "I'd love to."

Hold that glee, Kara. Savitar steps back, lets her in. The apartment? Incredibly sparse. There's some furniture that was probably here when he arrived and a neat pile of clothing on the back of a chair. That's...about it.

Kara steps past him, with the kind of spring to her steps that is more curiosity than clear joy, before coming up very short on that very thing. It's very .... empty. Isn't it? In fact, it looks about as bare as the one she'd originally been assigned to herself. It looks like no one's been in here almost at all.

If she'd come upon it open, she'd have thought no one did. Except he was in here.

"Where is all your stuff?"

The hand gesture he makes is probably meant to indicate that you're looking at all of his stuff, Kara. "I haven't been here that long." And yet, most people? Probably have things.

"No one has," Kara says, a little at a loss. "But it's not like these places came with much in them?"

Unless his was different? There's a look towards other rooms, and back to even, adding more context, like she's aware that first comment probably wasn't exactly the best, polite place to start. "Mine didn't even have plates and cups when I got in the first time."

He shrugs at this. "I've just been eating take out." That's right, Kara. He doesn't even have dishes.

Bart was doing his best to reach out to the guy who had once been a version of his grandfather, for all his insistence on a really dumb name. And nothing said reaching out like a colorful plant with no need to actually care for beyond finding sunlight. So he had a wax bulb that said "Amaryllis" on the tag tied around the sprout.

"Hey, Grampoopy, where are--" he started as he vibrated through the door into the tiny, depressing place, but he stopped dead, because there was someone else in here. "Oh, sorry."

One second ago, Kara had been in the middle of the oh-you-don't-even-have-dishes-do-you face, but it became looking up at the sound of someone coming in straight through the door itself. Blinking in surprise at the boy, and the strange plant in his hands, and not quite having a clue what to make of the at least one of the words he just said.

And he wouldn't even know how to respond to the question. Thanks for the interruption, Bart! Instead, his attention goes to Bart. And the thing he's carrying. "That's not the name either. Let's try to avoid anything with bodily functions."

"It fits, like Grumpa. You're such a Debbie Downer. That's why I got you a plant. This place needs some color, and you don't even need to water it," Bart explained.

He considered, then held his hand out. "Hi, I'm Bart."

There's a hand out, but Kara?

Kara is not slow, and her hand is busy, pointing between them.
After the second time an almost-word has been used, and the coming through the door.

"Wait. Are you his--" This is outlandish, but so is everything else. It's almost easy to roll with the question. The first had been to Bart, but the second question ended up being for Bar -- Savitar. "You have a grand-kid?"

Is that even possible?

Savitar snorted, shaking his head. "No." Does he look like someone who got married, grew old with someone and had grandkids? Not in this universe. Probably. "He's Barry Allen's."

"My Grandpa Barry is blond. I figure I'm from a different Earth than Sam here, but we're trying to decide what the relationship name is, and he keeps vetoing them." Bart added.

Kara looks back and forth between them, with something of a bobbled shift, and quasi-understanding, at least following along sort of, oh. Barry has kids someday. Or a kid. Or doesn't. He isn't exactly blond either. Which. Somewhere Barry is blond. And has a grandkid. Who is here. Now.

"Oh." Somehow that's a sensible answer. It seems to fit a lot of things around here. Like someone's absolutely not being Barry and their absolute lack of plates and not quite a grandchild who comes bearing flowers anyway. "This place doesn't really slow down, does it?"

That's factious more than actually asked, getting back to. "I'm Kara."

Beat. "From a different world, too."
In multiple ways even. "It's nice to meet you."

"Does anywhere?" Ever? He doubts it. He really does.

In any case, he'll take that bulb from Bart and go put it on the kitchen counter to figure out what to do with later.

"So, um, right. I can, you know, leave, if you want. I just thought Gradoody's place needed a little color. Tell me this place isn't totally depressing? I mean, even when I was at my worst, I wasn't living in an emo-goth cry for help."

"No. It's fine." Kara shakes her head. "I didn't actually announce I was coming over at all. I just showed up. I didn't mean to impose if you two already plans."

Buuuut.

"But - " Because it was true. " - we were just discussing the apartment."
Sort of? Almost? They might have been headed that way?

"We did not have plans." Savitar has plans with no one, ever. At least not in this world. He's about to say something like that when the rest of what she said catches up with him. "Wait. We were?"

"Oh, good. Because that couch alone requires an Intervention. What dumpster did you dig it out of, Oldster?" Bart asked, grinning.

"I just was dropping by before this guy collapses into a black hole of brood."

Kara doesn't know either of them well enough to side with the other, even if her inclination would probably send her in the direction of what brought her here in the first place. Which might be why she gives Savitar a flat kind of smile, with a little bravery, for questioning rephrasing it to: "We were about to be?"

And one step opens for another.

"Or did you not just imply you might still not have plates to eat on?"
