Who: Cisco and Savitar
What: A much-needed conversation

Cisco has been thinking about it for days. Mick had mentioned- off-hand in that way of his when he doesn't realize what he's saying is a bombshell- that Caitlin had patched up a speedster. One with scars.

It had taken a couple hours just to even process it. Savitar. Here. After everything he and Team Flash had done to stop the guy, he was still here. Still in their lives. For a day after that, he was angry. Furious, even. He'd threatened Cisco's friends; threatened everything that mattered to him. But the more he thought about it- really thought about it- the more the anger faded. He wasn't ready to forgive him for what he'd done, but he was level-headed enough to remember Savitar's motivations. The loneliness. The solitude. Freezing him out could start the whole process all over again. And that? Cisco isn't willing to risk it.

So after another day of psyching himself up, Cisco reaches out. He can't bring himself to video chat, so he sends him a text instead.

Savitar, I think we should talk. I'll be at the park this afternoon.

And then he spends about ten minutes panicking. What if the speedster decides to murder him? But he shoves that thought away. He needs to do this. For himself, if no other reason.

So he makes his way to the park, planting himself on a free bench to wait.

He snorts. "I haven't suddenly become a Slytherin all for the dark lord because I'm Savitar, Cisco."

"You see? Bridges being built already."

You might regret that, Savitar. Give him an inch and he'll take a mile.

"I'm serious!" He insists. "We should totally get you to take the Pottermore quiz."

He snorted. "Do they have that here? Really?"

"Where there's internet, there's Pottermore. I can make it work." Tech is his thing, after all.

"Fine. You get it working, I'll take it." Once.

Oh, you've just made a terrible mistake, Savitar.

"Done," he confirms.

"Guess we'll see, hm?"

"Yes we will," he confirms.

This whole conversation has gone better than expected. Cisco is pleased.

"What else?" He knows you must have more questions.

"Is that, like, permission to keep talking to you?" He's clearly excited by the prospect.

A sigh. "It's not like I can run away, is it?"

"No," he confirms, smile bright. "Okay, then. Let's start with what happened to your arm? And why it isn't healing?"

[ Zoinks, foiled again. ]

I tried to phase through the Waverider's hull so Sara Lance could get inside. Instead, I sort of...bounced off it a few hundred feet.

Cisco blinks.

"Gideon won't let anyone on the Waverider?" he asks, surprised. "Not even Sara?"

She says it's for our protection, but I don't trust her.

"Gideon is good people," he disagrees. "Well, good AI. Whatever she is. She's taken care of the Legends. If she doesn't think the Waverider is safe, it must not be."

"Even good AI can go bad. See 90% of all movies about AI."

"Not Gideon, man," he insists. "No way."

Not something that Barry Allen built. Good is in his DNA. If future Barry really did build Gideon, then Gideon is good down to the copper wiring.
