Cisco has been thinking about it for days. Mick had mentioned- off-hand in that way of his when he doesn't realize what he's saying is a bombshell- that Caitlin had patched up a speedster. One with scars.

It had taken a couple hours just to even process it. Savitar. Here. After everything he and Team Flash had done to stop the guy, he was still here. Still in their lives. For a day after that, he was angry. Furious, even. He'd threatened Cisco's friends; threatened everything that mattered to him. But the more he thought about it- really thought about it- the more the anger faded. He wasn't ready to forgive him for what he'd done, but he was level-headed enough to remember Savitar's motivations. The loneliness. The solitude. Freezing him out could start the whole process all over again. And that? Cisco isn't willing to risk it.

So after another day of psyching himself up, Cisco reaches out. He can't bring himself to video chat, so he sends him a text instead.

Savitar, I think we should talk. I'll be at the park this afternoon.

And then he spends about ten minutes panicking. What if the speedster decides to murder him? But he shoves that thought away. He needs to do this. For himself, if no other reason.

So he makes his way to the park, planting himself on a free bench to wait.

"I'm not." All of his reasons for being this way are valid, Cisco!

[goodviberations]

"Brush your hair and we'll talk, pal."

[vivifier]

"My hair is fine. There's nothing wrong with my hair."

[goodviberations]

"Of course not. It just makes you look mopey."

[vivifier]

"We can't all have your game, can we?"

[goodviberations]

"Is that- did you just compliment me?" he asks, surprised. "It's nice for my hard work to finally be noticed."

[vivifier]

He snorts. "Oh, I'm sure no one has ever said that before."

[goodviberations]

"Well, not to brag or anything, but yeah. You're not the first." His laugh is bright.

[vivifier]

He laughs, a sort of humorless thing. Like he hasn't actually done that in eons. Has he? Doubtful.

[goodviberations]

Savitar laughed. He laughed. Someone call the press.

"I didn't know your voice could do that."

[vivifier]

"It's not exactly a miracle, Cisco."

[goodviberations]

"Considering I've never heard you laugh, I'm pretty sure it is."

[vivifier]

"We didn't exactly hang out, did we?"

[goodviberations]

"Not outside of you threatening me," he huffs. "But hey. Better late than never."

[vivifier]

"You weren't exactly willing to reconfigure that cannon, were you?"

[goodviberations]

"You were gonna use it to become an invincible, immortal speedster god thing. I wasn't exactly gonna help you with that."

[vivifier]

"Yeah, well. Maybe if Barry had had an actual idea in his whole 'Let us help you not stop existing' scenario, I wouldn't have."

[goodviberations]

"We could have figured something out. We still can. We've got a STAR Labs from the future. We can find a way to prevent the paradox."

[vivifier]

"Can we?" He kind of doubts it.

[goodviberations]

"We can try. We've figured out more complicated things than that." Between him, Caitlin, Ray, and Felicity, he's sure they can figure something out.

[vivifier]

"I guess we'll see." Looking at his cast. "Assuming this fixes itself, anyway."

[goodviberations]

"Do you think there's really a chance your healing won't come back?" He remembers how scary the thought had been for Barry, and he doubts it's any easier to consider for Savitar.

[vivifier]

It isn't a great feeling. It really isn't. "I don't know. My healing isn't exactly that great in the first place, if you hadn't noticed." Look at all the deep tissue scarring, for instance, Cisco.

[goodviberations]

He's noticed, okay? But he wasn't sure if it was something temporary that hadn't taken care of the scar. And it's not like he'd been in a position to ask.

"Do you know why?" he asks, curious. Don't get offended, Savitar. Cisco is too curious for his own good.

[vivifier]

He's going to try very, very hard not to be. Because they have an armistice. But there is a sigh. "I guess it probably has something to do with being a remnant. I don't know."
