Action/Locked to Barry

Cisco had thought long and hard about how to get Barry back for the stunt he'd pulled at movie night. While the end result hadn't exactly been a bad one- he's actually happier than he's been in a long time- it's the principle of the thing. Barry had used Cisco's movie night as a ruse, and dragged several of their friends into it too.

Actions have consequences, Barry Allen.

It isn't until his phone buzzes the next morning that he decides on a plan. He opens the message so it'll mark as read, and then puts his phone down. He does the same for the next seven texts Barry sends him throughout the day.

And so it continues.

Revenge is a dish best served cold, Barry Allen.

[The angle is all wrong, more ceiling and wall than face, but what little there is of it looks...tired. He's tired. He's clearly bad at this, learning curve and all that, but it's better than the last time. Last time there were hands and legs and cement and sky. It seems Steve starts to realize the angle is wrong as well because his face comes fully into view.]

I hope this is on. [Because his sanity is feeling very thin these days. Talking to himself might just break him. He is still pretty certain, future or not, there shouldn't be dinosaurs in the middle of a city. He's found a place that had enough furniture and a working heater but no sign of people ever having lived there. He's wishing he had a gun, but he guesses that's penance for blowing himself up.]

My name is Steve Trevor. American Expeditionary Forces. I've been here a couple of days, is it, uh, normally this hard to leave the city?

[Cities are great. They're even better when you can leave.]

Time Storm - Final Event log!

It's time.
The science and speedster minds have determined that a wave of dark matter washing over the affected will save their lives. Below are main threads - backtagging is always encouraged.

Holding out for a hero?

Bart hadn't left STAR Labs since he brought Barry-2 there. They were acting on borrowed time trying to find a solution before the people affected by the temporal radiation leak died of it, and he was only slowing down when he absolutely had to. Anything else could wait. Well, not sleep, he wasn't a Bat, he knew he needed to take some time for that, but aside from that, slowing down to communicate what he'd gotten done and eating massive amounts to offset what he'd burned up with all the speeding, he was blurring through everything.

Trying to put the bits and pieces he recalled of the science of the Speed Force he'd learned from Johnny Quick and Val and others who'd made a study of it to use wasn't precisely hard, but it wasn't an area of study he'd been dedicated to. The closest he had to that was when he'd tried to become a CSI in LA when he was old, and that...well, thinking about that was leaving him as conflicted as thinking about Val. Most of what he learned were things he overheard while he was fighting Thad and his Rogues to try to buy time to release the trapped Speed Force in a harmless manner to those around it.

So books vanished and reappeared as he read the reference material, he spent subjective hours reading through everything he could find as quickly as he could absorb the information, adding to the equations on the bulletin boards and suggesting revisions. Using the Speed Force to produce the required energy wasn't the issue, it was keeping the effects limited in the same way the temporal radiation had only damaged people already changed by being in their little pocket of broken time.

The only time he took was to spend a little bit of each day sitting next to Barry's hospital bed, trying to be there for this particular not-grandpa. He couldn't let anyone down if he could help it, because even if he could run back in time and try to change things, it would never be enough.

[[OOC: Event post for Bart, find him in the lab or med bay, or pretty much anywhere else in STAR Labs burning himself out. He will try to drop dead for at least a few hours every thirty or so...]]

[action/video]

One minute, she's running from one end of the engineering lab to the classroom across campus, the next, she skids to a halt and is standing in what looks like a looming tower. She knows that she doesn't have speedster abilities, definitely not Earth-hopping abilities, but this? This is definitely not Central City.

Crystal Raymond looks around to try to get her bearings. Her yellow heels make for not great walking shoes as she hears the gravel crunch beneath the leather. She looks down at her phone and notices that it's acting strange, giving her options that she hadn't seen before. Strangely enough, her contacts seemed to have disappeared. It looks similar to her phone but definitely isn't it. Crys frowns at it then hits the video option and sends it to whomever she could reach.

"Hello? Is anyone out there?" she calls out, hoping the video would reach someone familiar, at the very least.

[Video] Not all the dragons seem huge.

GuysguysguysguysGUYS! [There is one very excited teenager struggling not to vibrate his phone out of his hands or something equally awkward.]

You know how there's dragons everywhere, and they're really totally cool, well most of them. But, well, one of them apparently followed me home from a place I didn't even think actually existed. I called him a puppy there, and I guess that's kinda his name or something. He's a very good pet, helped us defeat this one giant killer robot and everything. So, without further ado...

[A moment while he finds something to prop the camera against before he brings the dog-sized purple reptilian thing back into view.]

Here's the puppy. Isn't he adorable? He already knows a couple tricks and everything. But, um, no baths, ever. Well, maybe if the fate of the world depends on it. Anyway, I'm so keeping him. Maybe he and Barney can have play-dates, right?

[[OOC: Yeeeah, he found the "puppy" from the sci-fi splinter reality the spirit behind Bedlam cooked up in the Young Justice 80-Page Giant. Normally quite manageable, it grows to kaiju dimensions when wet. But hopefully that won't be demonstrated any time soon.]]

Action/Locked to Barry

It's a sad day when Cisco can't even remember the last time he saw his best friend. They're trapped in the same time-altered city, and yet they've hardly seen each other at all in the time they've been here.

Well no more!

He sends Barry a text with a location and a time, followed by a promise of intense bro bonding. (If the time he gives Barry is roughly twenty minutes before he intends to be there, that'll just be his little secret. He knows his bro.) It'll be good to get a chance to just talk, not worrying about aberrations or alternate universes or freaking dragons. Just Barry and Cisco. Like it should be.

[The feed comes on to a bright meadow, a sparkling lake and the quiet calls of large herbivores in the distance. Dinosaurs. Barry's smile is as bright as the sky above because these are some of his favorites.

He's keeping his distance with the raptor, but he can still watch them from here and it's amazing. Fantastic.

So he thumbs his device on and sends out a call to one person who might be willing to share in his delight.]
Hey, you up?

The herds are clustered near the lake. It's absolutely beautiful out here.

I brought breakfast.

Building Bridges aka Glasnost in broken time

1978 Soviet Russia. It's a bit of a difference from his visit to Russia, but it's also eerily similar. Trade is done in barter versus money, strength is a resouce and his status as a Bratva Captian still means something to the men populating the area. As the video snaps on he's got a heavy jacket on, complete with the epaulets of a Soviet Captain, a couple of bottles of vodka and a bag filled with food.

"До Свидания, друзья!" A salute as he leaves, a call that is echoed by the other Russians in the camp, clearly entertained by the archer.

"Well I'll say one thing - not all of the locals are hostile if you know how to talk to them."

[How does this happen. How. How. Barry moves out of the way when he sees a stampede of...vikings?! He's standing out on a sidewalk somewhere downtown, not seeing a familiar sight anywhere. At least not like how it is back home. He sends out the all video signal]

Just what the heck is going on here?! Who's Gideon? Where am I?!

[He's hyperventilating or close enough to it, not amused at what is going on, and tries to make sense of it all.]

Video/action Making Friends?

.. Ow! Hey will you just..

I am not your mother! [The video feed is jarred to life as Barry backs into a bench at the park.]

rawk! rawk!

[The source of the cry is a smallish reptilian creature with ragged feathers and wickedly sharp claws sort of hop-flapping in Barry's direction with dogged determination.

When Barry doesn't sit down the baby simply starts climbing. With very sharp claws and teeth to give it a better grip]

Ow ow.. quit it will you?

rawk!

[Barry Allen, Central City's Flash, beaten by an oversized chicken.

He huffs and tucks an arm around it, trying to disengage the claws without getting shredded.]
All right, all right. Let's figure out what you are so I can give you back okay?

Speedster Lost - action/video

This isn't the Speed Force. At least he doesn't think it is.
The last thing he remembers is stepping into the Speed Force. Surrounded with power. Blinded. Overwhelmed but it was okay. This was what he had to do to save his city and the people he loves.

Anyone passing by or watching the city in general will see a blur of red lightning as Barry attempts to get the lay of the land. Learn where he was. Why. How?

And when that doesn't work, he decides to try another method.

Ok. I give up.
Where are we and who gave me a new phone that I don't remember owning?

[Video];

[Felicity touches her hands together, steeped in thought. She definitely has her thinky face on. The tech snaps to life, which was something she was not expecting]

What the.... how? This is even weirder than spaceships, aliens and doppelgangers and that was weird. I should really stop saying I've seen it all.

Oliver? Iris? Barry? Tell me we did not do this? And if we did, how do we fix it?
