Video/Action - it starts with a spark
Egypt is hot. Blazing damn hot.
But it's not the heat that Mick currently hates. It's the goddamn sand.
Sand in his face, in his eyes, sand everywhere.
Friggin sand.
But it's the one place he can work on his new abilities with fire without worrying about unintentionally roasting his surroundings.
Fire flickers along his arms and hands. Sputters of flame followed by explosions of heat.
Clearly handling powers requires control which isn't something Mick Rory has ever really excelled at.

Mick grumbles again, but he follows his direction and shuts his eyes.] Now what?

[but there are a few he can pick from.] Now what?

[ An exercise that usually works for his own metas, MAYBE IT'LL HELP. ]

[Never mind that he'd crushed Druse beneath a heavy armored boot. Imagining him burn is pretty satisfying too.
The flames along his arms start to stabilize, flickering evenly.]

Controlling is the hard part about powers. But then again, why would you want to?
.. not that he will ever admit as much.]

And they got more important things to worry about.

[She also jerks her thumb behind her at the rest of STAR Labs]
I'm sure these nerds have something.

[And it's not that he doesn't believe that Sara or Cisco or even Savitar wouldn't do that for him or that they don't think him their friend.
.. Mick simply isn't used to having friends.
He's used to handling things on his own and he sure as hell isn't good at asking for help because for most of his life? Help wouldn't have come.] Fixing time is important.
This shit? I'll figure it out.
[Maybe.
He hopes.]

[She picks up her latte and gets up from the little cafe, making her way outside and back toward STAR Labs]
But if you'd rather not ruin a favorite shirt, there might be some flame resistant undershirts that this team made.

So how do you do it? Flip from the Doc to Snowflake?

The breach doesn't surprise him, but Cisco's fury does and he's on his feet.
"What?"
no subject
She actually just asked him what his idiot hotrod was doing in Egypt, but Cisco had filled in the blanks.

However, it could very likely hurt other people.
(people like Cisco)

Mick points at the sand. "All that'll do is get hot if I burn it. I try this anywhere else and things will burn."

"You need water, Mick, not beer." This man is insufferable. Seriously.
"And I'm not saying you have to leave. I'm just saying you shouldn't be here alone."
Cisco had promised to help, and he intends to keep that promise. Even if Mick is going to be stubborn about it.

"People can catch fire. Sand can't."
Don't make him say it.
