Egypt is hot. Blazing damn hot.
But it's not the heat that Mick currently hates. It's the goddamn sand.

Sand in his face, in his eyes, sand everywhere.

But it's the one place he can work on his new abilities with fire without worrying about unintentionally roasting his surroundings.

Fire flickers along his arms and hands. Sputters of flame followed by explosions of heat.

Clearly handling powers requires control which isn't something Mick Rory has ever really excelled at.

[A frustrated growl as he drops his hand. Between the sand and his inability to get the fire under control Mick isn't in the best of moods.] You seem to enjoy stating the obvious.

Mick grumbles again, but he follows his direction and shuts his eyes.] Now what?

The flames along his arms start to stabilize, flickering evenly.]

Finally Mick opens his eyes. Looks down at himself.]

Yeah. Yeah it is. [He's still a little surprised that it worked, looking down at his arms and his hands where the flames dance and flicker evenly.] How did you know that'd work?

I've made metahumans. Some of them needed help with control, at first.

How can you go and make a metahuman? Is that what this is? Cause I don't remember any lab going up in a big explosion.
