*CRACK*
*WHAM*
Anyone within sight of the gym in Apartment 2 is now treated to the sight of Sara Lance frowning at a punching bag on the ground. The 'Fitness Center' had already been a disappointment salvaged only by their being a hanging bag in the back class area.
She's barefooted and bare-fisted, and frowning.
Very much frowning.
That hadn't even taken two minutes. She hadn't even worked up a sweat. She definitely had not gotten anywhere near what she needed to get to feel her purpose was achieved.

Date: 2018-01-25 11:12 pm (UTC)"At least for whoever else around here might have been using it before. If anyone ever did."
If the people here were all ever her any much longer than any of them really.
Or any of the shmucks ever tried.

Date: 2018-01-23 03:56 pm (UTC)Problem is, the 'fitness center' sucks.
Nobody will ever, ever, catch Mick on a stairmaster. Or a stupid bike. He's not a damn gerbil.
So he'd done what he always does. If he can't find the gear he or the team needs, he steals it. Beer. Booze. Better chairs. Even equipment.
As the heavy bag falls, he's carting in a solid wooden dummy to set up in the far corner.
"I gotta rig up the chains on the bag better, it's not set in any kind of stud, that's why it keeps falling."

Date: 2018-01-25 11:07 pm (UTC)At least there was a better place, she just hasn't decided if she should.
If that would be overreach. If that would be awkward. If ... well. Other. Things.

Date: 2018-01-26 12:15 am (UTC)Where did Mick get those?
Again, don't ask.
Only once those are done does he go back to rigging up the heavy bag. "Got my eye on a couple more bags 'm gonna get up here tomorrow."

Date: 2018-01-26 12:20 am (UTC)Sara asks it really without even meaning it to be a question. She toeing at the bag. Literally. With her toes, before she decides to turn around and sit on it. Taking some stock of the things he's decided to put in here. Things that look almost too obviously like any number of the things she doesn't suddenly have direct access to.
If there's for a moment almost the flicker of a glance back to his face, it abates first, before getting there, and she raises a hand to gesture toward the door beyond the studio spacing and the wood floor under her feet. "Besides, who out there is really going to use it anyway?"

Date: 2018-02-01 04:21 pm (UTC)The wooden dummy is set up, braces locked in and weights in place to keep it stable. "Don't go bustin that to shit yet boss. I got a few more things to bring in."
Weights. A tool set to anchor the heavy bag properly. The setup won't be pretty, but it will work for the moment. More importantly it keeps Mick busy and distracted. When he's both, there's less chance of shit randomly catching fire.

Date: 2018-02-18 08:36 pm (UTC)She doesn't think about how that last word -- so small, so simple -- is one she wouldn't have said months ago.
She wouldn't have assumed; just like she wouldn't have admitted it. Not without pressing.
One of only two people here that she would be willing to say that to in the slightest.
This place and it's lack of answers, lack of action, lack of fixing, isn't calming.

Date: 2018-02-19 05:21 pm (UTC)So he talks while he works because what else are they gonna do?
"Used to get itchy when Snart was planning one of his jobs. Days of reading plans, memorizing time tables and observation. Drove me crazy." A small quirk of a smile. Blink and you'll miss it. "So I'd find shit to do. Rebuild an engine, work on the weapons, box the heavy bag until I couldn't lift my damn arms."
no subject
Date: 2018-02-21 02:56 am (UTC)It still needles like one. She should have a plan.
Any kind of a plan by now that isn't just keeping people alive.
"What kind of engine?" Even if distractions aren't what she's looking for, herself.
At least aside from the one that put the bag she's sitting on under her now.

Date: 2018-02-22 05:25 pm (UTC)"Bikes mainly. Was rebuilding an old Indian before the Englishman showed up and kidnapped our asses up to that roof."
Sara, like Snart, needs a plan or some sort of direction rather than simply waiting things out. It's half the reason he brought in the extra equipment, the extra gear.
.. he also can't offer to distract her like he used to distract Snart..
