[  Okay. So apparently he can't actually phase through the cast and get it off that way.  He'd intended on just doing that instead of asking any single person for help or even just going to hospital and waiting for hours for someone there to do it.  But he'd tried, and he couldn't actually get enough space between the cast, the brace and his actual skin to maneuver the room to actually get the thing off. 

So it was either man up and ask for help or what he actually ended up doing:  speeding to Star Labs, stealing a bunch of their speedster-proof alcohol and holing up in his apartment.  

Of course that meant that once he was actually drunk, he turned on some music annoyingly loudly (oh god, it's Taylor Swift, WHY is it Taylor Swift?) and opened up an audio-link. Oh, joy. ] 


Someone! Get this thing off of me! Before I find a saw!

[ Reluctantly, carefully and slowly he will try eating this sandwich. It really does not make him any less green and nauseated. ]

[And Mick? Mick has zero sympathy.
He digs into his sandwich and drinks his beer while a green looking speedster slowly picks at his sandwich like it's going to rise up off the wax paper and eat him.] Eat what you can.
It'll help.

[ Of course he doesn't. That's why he brought the sandwich, right? Because no sympathy.

Savitar eats what he can, pausing when he's pretty sure that his stomach and the rest of his body is going to revolt. Thankfully, that doesn't happen. Yet. ]

Why do you even care?

[bringstheheat]

[Nope. None at all.

Mick shrugs.] Who said I did?

[So much not caring.
None at all.

Not for the kid who tried to phase through their ship to get them back in. Not for a kid who's carrying around more baggage than most major airlines.

[ Savitar eyes him skeptically. ]

Do you work at this place, then? Random sandwich deliveries? What?

[bringstheheat]

Shaddap and eat, kid.
[He's being nice. Don't go and be a dick by calling attention to it.]

[vivifier]

I'm eating.

[ He doesn't want to, but Mick is right there and he's probably right that this will make the hangover less...awful. ]

[bringstheheat]

[There's a quiet snort of something that's almost amusement.

What can he say? He's used to dealing with prickly bastards. Savitar is nothing new.]

[ After a little bit, he's taking a break from this sandwich. He almost feels like it's a job to eat this thing. ]

...how many people heard that, do you think?

[ Can he ever leave this apartment? ]

[Quitter.

Mick continues on with his until he asks the question. A thoughtful pause as he washes down the bite with a swallow of beer.]

Pretty much everyone.
Question you gotta ask is who really cares?

We all got baggage kid.

[ Quitter, someone who doesn't want to throw up on his own floor. Tomato, potato. ]

I'm not under the impression that anyone cares.

[ He may be using a different definition of 'cares' here ]

[Eye. Roll.
Are all versions of speedsters this difficult?]

So you got drunk and bitched about a cast. So what? This situation sucks for everyone.

Yet, here you are. With sandwiches.

[ A slight shrug, and then SUBJECT CHANGE. ]

I'd offer you one of those [ The speedster booze ] but I think it'd stop your heart.

[bringstheheat]

Reason I brought my own. [Mick holds up a fresh bottle] Just incase there wasn't enough to go around.

[vivifier]

Good, because I don't think I could run you to the ER right now.

[bringstheheat]

You don't look like you could do more than walk a straight line across the room right now, kid.

[He peers at the television.] Got any decent movies?

[Say no. Watch him go fix it.]

[vivifier]

I don't have any movies.

[ He senses he may have made a huge mistake in admitting that. ]

[bringstheheat]

Figures.

[Yes Savitar. That was a total mistake. Mick hauls himself up out of the chair, leaving behind the beer and rest of the sandwich. He walks out of the apartment, leaving the door wide open.


Give him about five minutes and Mick is returning with an armload of DVDs and a plate of stolen brownies (thanks Robin Hood).] Now you do.

[ Savitar will take the time that Mick is gone to speed eat a bit more of that sandwich, staring in confusion at his open door. When Mick returns, he pauses. fry from that sandwich in hnd. ]

...what?

[bringstheheat]

[The stolen brownies are set on the table long enough for Mick to snag one. Then the movies. He holds one up for emphasis.] Movies. You didn't have any.
Now you do.

[vivifier]

[ Congratulations, Mick. You're the 100th contestant in the Lets Baffle Savitar sweepstakes. ]

[It's the grumpy wounded duck routine. Gets people every time.

Mick shrugs and shoves in a movie because he's not asking Savitar what he wants to watch. They're watching Wrath of Khan because it's a damned good movie. Period.]
