Cisco has spent days puzzling over his first date with Mick. He wants it to be perfect. Romantic, but not so over the top as to make Mick uncomfortable. It's a thin line to walk, but Cisco is determined to make it work.

He starts by making a list of things Mick likes. Fire, ninja movies, good food. It's an eclectic mix of things, but he thinks he can find a way to combine them all. The last part is the easiest part. He knows Mick loves his empanadas, and he steals a few of the West family recipes from Barry to round out a meal. As for the movies, that's easy. He's got his trusty portable digital projector, loaded up with some of Mick's all-time favorites. All that's left is fire and a venue.

Obviously the two have to be compatible. A venue that isn't going to catch fire, preferably. He ends up deciding on Egypt, partially due to the fact that it's the first place they really bonded, and partially due to sandstone not being flammable. He's got everything set up inside the main pyramid, the projector pointed at one of the few vertical walls inside the main chamber. All the braziers are lit, and with a little chemical additive, they're all blue to prevent the light from interfering with the projector.

Now all that's left is to bring his boyfriend.

7:30. Don't be late.

It didn't take a genius to know that Cisco was planning something and Mick at least had the good graces not to snoop.

Things had been good since the stunt at the movie theater. Mick was content with things. They sat closer on the couch, he could put his arm around him or reach out and touch without worrying about Cisco pulling away. In fact every touch seemed to make him happier and Mick? Mick likes making Cisco happy.

He's still trying to get used to the idea that Cisco wants him of all people.. but it's been good.

So he takes a long shower, finds a change of clothes from the laundry and sends Pascal and Haircut off to Barry for the night.

"Ow!"
Whoops. Someone got distracted by one of the braziers and neglected to duck on his way through the door. Mick is rubbing his forehead with a scowl. Stupid short Egypt people..

Then his jaw drops.
Because Cisco set all of this up for him.

Cisco half-steps toward Mick at the shout, but he stops himself when it's clear that the man is alright. He makes a vague 'ta-da' gesture around the chamber, happy to see that Mick seems impressed. Cisco's smile is a little shy, but it's there.

"Surprise?"

Nobody has ever gone to lengths like this for Mick. Even when it was Snart, he'd just come bearing gifts or a new heist. Setting up something like this took time and thought.

His scowl melts at that little smile and Cisco gets a smile in return. "Yeah. This is.. just us?"

"Just us," he promises. "And no doors to lock."

He knows his friends wouldn't do that again, but it never hurts to be prepared.

Cisco gestures to the giant pile of pillows and cushions he'd laid out on top of a cozy blanket, two baskets of freshly made food waiting for them.

"I figured sandstone wouldn't be great to sit on for too long."

"I dunno," he tucks his gloves into his pocket. "Worked out pretty good for us last time didn't it?"

He gets comfortable in the blankets, waiting for Cisco to cuddle in with him. "This is.. real nice."

That's fair enough. Training that day had been the first time that Cisco felt they had really bonded. Like the last of any problem between them had vanished.

Once Mick gets settled in, Cisco drops onto the blanket beside him and leans into his side. "The blue basket is dinner food," he informs as he reaches for the remote. "The red basket is dessert food. Dig in."

Knowing Mick like he does, he knows that that's a glowing compliment from him. He feels like he's won the night already.

And Mick predictably digs into the food with relish. Empanadas and two plates of food washed down with beer. But his eyes aren't always on the screen. No, sometimes they're on Cisco like he's trying to figure him out, why a brilliant and attractive guy like him is going all out for him.

The credits roll and as Cisco turns to him, probably to ask what he wants to watch next, Mick surges forward to kiss him.

All Cisco can do is fondly watch Mick- his boyfriend?- stuff his face. He isn't sure if what they are can be labelled 'boyfriends', but he's content to use that term in his head. It's enough for him.

He seems pleased with the food, which is a win in Cisco's book. But that kiss? That takes him completely by surprise. But it's a really, really good surprise. And if he has a brief flashback to Buck and Zien's first kiss, well. Maybe now he's willing to believe that the character really is meant to be him.

Hopefully Cisco will figure it out on his own because there's a very good chance Mick will never come right out and admit it. But Cisco's lips are warm and soft and his hair like satin under his rough fingers and as Mick pulls away he realizes that maybe that was a little sudden?

Not that he thinks Cisco is complaining.

"Nobody's ever.. done anything like this for me before."

Hey, as long as Mick won't call him out on it, Cisco will be happy. And if all his texts with his best friends regarding Mick now include the B-word, well, that's between him, Barry, and Caitlin.

But that kiss? He's definitely, definitely not complaining. He looks a little starstruck, smile dopey.

"It's not too much?" That was his biggest concern.

"Naw, it's not too much," he reassures him, leaning in for another kiss because now that he's started Mick might never want to stop. "It's perfect."

His smile is bright as he meets Mick's kiss. He's never been much for compliments, so Cisco holds each one close to his heart. And knowing he's made Mick even a little happier? It means a lot to him.
