I'm going to take for granted there's someone on the other end of this line--so what the everloving shit is going on? I had to fight off two Picts in woad with bronze axes so... yeah. [Was she really expecting someone to chime in so soon? Not really--but then, Jess really can't remember the last time a network functioned properly. Message in a bottle would've been faster.

Her words sound wary.] No. Who's Gideon?

[A beat.] Who are you? What is this?

[Where does she even begin.]

Gideon is an AI - like an operating system. Except a little bit more advanced. I'm Crystal from Central City.

[She waits a beat, not sure if she should add the second part]

Forgive her for staring at you like you've utterly and completely taken leave of your senses, Crystal.] Twe-- [She snorts but manages to stifle an incredulous laugh. Makes the wound on her cheek hurt.] Twenty forty-two?

This is insane. I'm dreaming. I've either taken a drug that went bad, or I'm dead. Either way.

But let's play the game, then. Figure out where this is supposed to go.] Well, I have a feeling there are going to be two very angry Scotsmen looking for me, so I suppose I should get myself hidden somewhere.

Very. [Granted, Jess is pretty sure she left them with some things to think about before they came looking for her, but sometimes there really was just no reasoning with Bronze Age folks.

[She checks her device to make sure she could coordinate exactly where Jessica is. Crys is experimenting with creating skates on the bottoms of her shoes then takes off. It isn't long before a young woman comes around the corner with a bright smile and in a STAR Labs labcoat. She skids to a halt near Jessica and the skate blades disappear from the bottoms of her shoes]

Dressed in somewhat worn, if not mostly decent jeans and an old Stanford University t-shirt, Jessica's leaning against the side of a building--the occupants inside can be seen through the window haggling over some sort of betting pool--when Crystal arrives in a far-too-happy and mostly unconventional way. Jess is still 99% convinced she's dreaming, because this whole thing? Is ridiculous.

Who can possibly be this smiley? But at least it's a smile.

"That's me. Crystal, I presume?"

[Seriously Gideon? More people? Okay, he can at least greet the new person while totally hiding from Cisco and Caitlin.] Yeah, there are a lot of us trapped here.
