It's Finally Movie Night!

This is it, guys. Finally, finally they're going to have the movie night they've been talking about for months. It's been a rough few weeks on most of them, and Cisco is determined to cheer everyone up. He'd stumbled across a 40s movie theatre- the kind that would have shown nickelodeons back in the day- and decided that it was the perfect venue for them. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out, and they could set up a snack table in front of the small stage beneath the screen.

Party time, here they come.

"I can't," he says. He's not gonna explain the 'for your own good' part. Not if he can help it. "They used dampeners. None of us have our powers. It was supposed to just be for Caitlin and Oliver, but apparently Harry double-crossed me."

Oops, did he just admit that he'd planned on trapping Caitlin and Oliver in here?

Mick takes his arm and leads Cisco away from the other two because he's pretty sure Robin Hood and or Frosty will have his ass if they find out he's in on whatever went down.

"You wanna run that by me again?"

"Okay. So I told you they were being stupid, right? So Harry asked me to help out with some dampeners so we could lock them in here without her going Frost on us. Except apparently he lied to me and also keyed it in to disable our powers."

There is gonna be hell to pay, Harry. Just you wait.

Mick shifts his eyes to where Robin Hood and Frosty were getting.. cozy with each other. It doesn't exactly take a genius to put two and two together at this point and he turns his attention back to Cisco.

"And there's a reason he keyed it to our powers why?"

Oh man. Caitlin and Oliver broke a lot sooner than he anticipated. And something about the expression on Mick's face tells him the man isn't quite as oblivious to the situation as he's pretending.

He's gonna have to come clean, isn't he? He's gonna have to tell Mick about his feelings.

"Because...because they knew I would try to run."

Hey he's no genius like Cisco or the Doc but he's not as completely dense as he sometimes puts on.

Nope. That's not something akin to hope fluttering in his chest. Because it isn't.

"Run from what? Me?"

Cisco rubs the back of his neck, nervous and embarrassed. But this has been a long time coming. He owes Mick the truth.

"From what they want me to tell you," he corrects.

Mick is a patient man when he chooses and he watches Cisco, his expression carefully neutral. Kid hasn't been afraid of him yet, even when he'd spontaneously burst into flames, so why is he so nervous now?

"Tell me what?" he prompts after a long silence.

Cisco can't look at him. Not for this. But he's literally trapped here, so it's about time he comes clean.

"That I have feelings for you," he says, and whatever else happens, that's a huge weight off his chest. "And I completely understand if you don't feel the same way, and I don't expect anything to change if you don't want it to."

"Feelings."

There's a quiet grunt as Mick tries to process. His head tips a little. "Why me?"

No, seriously. He's not teasing and he's not poking fun. Mick really doesn't get why a guy like Cisco would want a guy like him.

A blink. That...is not the reaction he'd expected. For a moment, he thought Mick was gonna go as far as to make him explain what kind of feelings, but thankfully that doesn't seem to be his hold up.

"I don't understand what you mean," he says, brow furrowed.

Mick breathes out. Rubs his palm along his thigh. He's putting himself out there and Mick is more than a little worried about how this could go.

"I mean why would a guy like you be interested in me? I don't.. I don't get it."

Cisco studies him for a moment. Is Mick- Mick is serious. He doesn't know why Cisco has feelings for him. Wow, they're both really bad at this.

"Do you want the list alphabetical or chronological?" Because you bet your ass he has a list of reasons why he'd developed feelings for Mick.

Mick breathes. Thinks. He won't fall back on the same old "I'm not a hero" argument because they have that one often enough already. Cisco wants to be around him. Him. Gruff, scarred and utter shit with his feelings.

But Mick could trust him.
He'd trusted him when he found out about his powers. He'd trusted Cisco to help him with his powers.
He trusted Cisco with his damn book.

"I'm not.. shit. I mean.. I'm not good with feelings. Never have been."

"You really want to get involved with a mess like that?" Last chance to back out and come to your senses Cisco.

Cisco may be going a little crazy in the silence. What's gonna happen here? Is Mick trying to figure out how to let him down gently? Is he coming up with something dismissive and cruel to say? He doesn't really believe the latter, not after everything they've been through together, but Cisco does have an overactive imagination.

The admission that he's not great with feelings isn't a surprising one. He went off on a bender for days after Snart and Sara were taken away instead of processing his grief. But just saying that is better than he normally is. He'll take it.

And then. Then he says that. Which, if Cisco isn't crazy, sounds a lot like if he says 'yes', then Mick wants this too. He doesn't think he's crazy. And he finally has enough hope that he can answer truthfully.

"I'm good enough with feelings for the both of us."

That smile sets up an odd flutter in his chest. But it's one he's come to associate with Cisco's smiles when they're directed at him.

Okay.
He can do this. He can promise to try.

A shake of his head and a small, fond smile. "I still think you're crazy."

So, you know, yes.

"Crazy doesn't have to be a bad thing."

He's full-out beaming now. Maybe Barry really was right here. Maybe Mick feels the same way he does, or at least as close as he's able to feel.

An amused sound as he slips a bare hand into Cisco's. Robin Hood might be okay with pubic displays of affection given how he and the Doc are kissing, but Mick would rather wait.

"Yeah. Yeah I guess not."

The hand in his is enough. More than enough. Cisco isn't gonna push Mick's boundaries here. Not when he's been waiting for this for so long.

"What do you say we go back to the movie? Barry and the others will be back in a few hours." And he knows this is one of Mick's favorites. Why not watch it on the big screen?

[bringstheheat]

"Yeah. If they aren't back when it's done me and Robin Hood can take out the locks." An easy smile as he tugs Cisco back to where they were sitting.

Only this time Mick is going to sit beside him, going so far as to drape an arm across Cisco's shoulders as they settle back in to watch the movie.

Cisco feels like a teenage girl with the way his heart stutters at the arm around him. Something about the casualness of it really hammers home that this is real. Cisco had told Mick about his feelings, and Mick returned them.

He may owe his best friend a drink.
