It's Finally Movie Night!

This is it, guys. Finally, finally they're going to have the movie night they've been talking about for months. It's been a rough few weeks on most of them, and Cisco is determined to cheer everyone up. He'd stumbled across a 40s movie theatre- the kind that would have shown nickelodeons back in the day- and decided that it was the perfect venue for them. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out, and they could set up a snack table in front of the small stage beneath the screen.

Party time, here they come.

If he were honest, Oliver would admit that he doesn't want to be here. Since Caitlin had abruptly ended things before they had really gotten started, he hasn't been in the most social of moods. But with enough cajoling from both Barry and Cisco.. here he is. A beer in one hand and sitting off by himself with only a little dragon for company.

Pilot has been ferrying between him and STAR Labs and the little dragon had at least been cooperative enough to send a note or two to Caitlin, simply asking if she was all right.

For now he's playing with the dragon, eventually stroking his back and scratching under his wing while they wait for the movie to start. "Think they'll have Die Hard?"

Frost - OTA

Caitlin made it too easy for her to come out. Repressing emotions, choosing not to feel any of them, anger at herself, essentially putting them under house arrest. The only outside interaction the moodier roommate let them have is playing with Barney and a girl can only take so much being cooped up. She almost wishes that they could talk to each other more easily.

And then someone just had to say something. Luckily, they are in a public and among friends. Her rage quelled to a simmer. For now, at least. But oh no, she's not letting Caity back out.

Frost pours herself some vodka and grabs some popcorn before she plops herself down. At least she could get movie night to socialize somehow. The meta glances around to see whom could be her target of her throwing ice cubes at.

Oliver has been doing his best to keep his distance from Caitlin. She wanted distance and he would at least try and respect that even if he didn't know why or how things had changed.

But seeing a familiar flash of white hair and the shift in the overall temperature, Oliver at least has to ask.

"Frost, is everything all right?"

Can't a girl make herself a drink in peace? Her bartending days definitely help her in this situation as she mixes up a cocktail. She ignores him for a moment, stirring the mix before lifting up the martini glass and frosting the glass a little. Then she turns her attention to him.

"I don't know what you two did but Caity doesn't want to come out and play."

A thinning of his lips is the only outward sign of his frustration. "I didn't do anything. I get that she's avoiding me but this is a little extreme."

He sets down his drink as Pilot hops towards Frost with a chirp. "I'll leave, that way she can spend time with the people that she wants to be around."

She tickles the dragons chin and is rewarded with a coo.

“Now what fun would that be if you left?”

Scowl.
Really, Oliver can take a damn hint. "Caitlin can spend time with her friends and not have to worry about avoiding me."

“Is it really all about you, you, you, Katniss?” Frost continues to give Pilot some love before turning to him, unamused at his assumption. “I’m so over Caitlin picking out guys that wouldn’t care enough to think about her feelings and what she thinks.”

"I can't know what she's thinking when she won't talk to me," he snaps in his frustration. "I can't know what she's feeling when she avoids any attempt to figure out what the hell went wrong."

"I can't make things right when Cait makes it clear she doesn't want to be around me."

Frost is amused at his frustratin. Good. Caitlin finally got to be around someone who isn't homicidal or wimpy. But, she rolls her eyes a little, seemed like Robin Hood needed a pep talk.

"The reason why I'm here is because she does want to be around you. She needs to talk to you but is afraid so I'm here to force her physically to do so." Frost lets Pilot agree with her and nod. "You two need to talk and I can only do so much, Oliver."

No snide nickname this time. Just his name.

A slow nod as she pets Pilot.

It's good to at least hear from Frost that he didn't completely mess things up.

"Cisco told me about the future. I won't let that define me. I can't. We don't know if being here will change anything."

She watches him, cold stare pinning him on the spot.

"It could change everything. Like us agreeing on her choice of boyfriend for once. You're not a homicidal criminal from another earth, not brainwashed. Looks like she's actually improving in taste."

He's stared down colder types. Oliver isn't going to give an inch of ground, but there's a faint crinkle around the corners of his eyes at her approval.

"I think I'll take that for the compliment it is." And with that he snags the vodka bottle to pour himself a shot.

That causes the corner of Frost's lips to turn up for just a second.

"Finally, an actual smart person."

Pilot gives an indignant chirp and Frost pets him a little bit more.

"Don't let me scare you off, Oliver. Even I can feel that she cares a lot." She looks back at him. "Then I can give my obligatory threat of not hurting her. We share the same body but I'm more capable of actually doing anything."

A faint smile. "I try every now and then."

Oliver shakes his head as he offers the shot glass to Frost. "You won't scare me off. And I don't intend to hurt her. Both of you are special in your own ways."

Cisco overhears the words from the other end of the snack table, and he's quick to make his way over.

"Leave? You can't leave!" Oh. A little too pushy there, Cisco. He'll get suspicious. "I mean. Barry would be so disappointed, and no one wants to deal with sad Barry."

"Barry has you and the others, Cisco. I think he'll be fine." A glance back at Frost. "I can pick up when I'm not wanted. If Caitlin won't talk to me, she won't."

"I didn't realize that Caitlin was the only reason you were here," he huffs. "You have other friends here, Oliver. People who want to talk to you and spend time with you."

Damnit.

"That's not what I meant Cisco. If Cait is going to the limit of becoming Frost to avoid me, maybe I should make it easier on her and just go." He sets down his drink. "She deserves time with her friends."

"She still hasn't told you, has she?" he asks, shaking his head. Why is he the only emotionally healthy member of Team Flash? The Mick thing doesn't count. Shut up.

"Caitlin knows that Felicity is from a future where you two are married. She doesn't want to screw with that, so she's forcing herself to back off."

Pause.
Stare.

It isn't often one catches Oliver so completely and utterly off guard. Cisco should feel proud.

"Say that again? Married?"

He would feel proud if the happiness of one of his best friends wasn't in the balance.

"Yeah. In the future that I'm from, you and Felicity are married. You actually kind of interrupted Barry and Iris' wedding and got double married. But none of the rest of the people here are from the same time as me, and like I tried to tell Caitlin, time isn't a straight line."

"Interrupted their wedding?" Oliver blinks hard, again totally thrown off his guard.

He scrubs at his face. He is getting really, really tired of being the one so far behind everyone else.

"That isn't my present. It's a future I haven't experienced yet. We don't know what all of this may or may not change."

"I know," he says easily. "That's the exact point I was trying to make to her. Just ending up here could start an alternate timeline where none of that happens. The future that may or may not happen shouldn't effect what we do here."
