"Doctor Wells?" he rasps.

His eyes drift close and he smacks his lips. Barry raises a hand to touch his head.

"What happened? How long had I been out?"

"Drink." He directs. First thing's first after all. "You've been out for about two days."

"The metahuman powers you all have were the result of temporal radiation in your system. When the storms kicked up you all showed signs of radiation poisoning. It took a wave of dark matter generated by three speedsters to counteract the poisoning."

He takes the water and slowly drinks, wincing at how cold it was. He supposes that's a good thing. He drains the cup in no time when he hears that he had been out for two days.

"...oh."

That got his head spinning and Barry lays back down, holding onto the cup and trying to keep the water down. He wants to go home. He wants his old bed, he wants his glass of milk before bed, he wants to wake up and see that all of this was just some crazy dream after a Saturday night marathon of Commander Carl.

"Are we still metahumans?"

Harry is.. bad at this. He always has been.
But exposure to one Cisco Ramon and team for long enough makes him a little more empathetic and he reaches out to pat his hand. "You're all right now Allen."

"Yes. But we can work on power dampeners if you're having problems with yours. It's not a forever fix, but it can help."

The pat is comforting as is the offer for power dampeners.

"Rory...he's not Fire Chief Rory here, Doctor Wells, but...he says I can learn how to sue them."

"It takes some getting used to," he admits with a hint of something that was almost a smile. "Different versions of similar faces."

"Of course you can. With the right help you can control them as easily as the others." And there is zero doubt in his voice.

He's strangely silent for someone who's used to jabbering away at anything. Barry just nods and relaxes against the bed.

"...is this going to be our lives now? Stuck somewhere far away from home?"

He is oddly quiet and Harry shows no signs of getting up and moving on just yet.

"You get used to the unexpected after a while. Things may change but.. we aren't alone here. That matters."

He nods and closes his eyes.

"I'm not going to be good company, Doctor Wells. Feels like I've had the whole fleet of CCPD's cars run over me."

[binarythinking]

A thoughtful sound as he goes back to his work. "Some would say I haven't been good company most of my life. Go to sleep Allen. I'll start work on a power dampener for you."

He swallows.

"I think..I-I think...that I want to learn how to use these powers. So I can help you and Flash and Vibe."

[binarythinking]

"When you're ready," he answers absently. "We have time." Right now Allen needs to recover. And there's no reason at all why he continues to sit at his bedside. Nope.

None whatsoever. Barry feels comforted by Wells' presence there and settles again, nodding sleepily.

"Thank you."

For comforting him? For being there? For fixing whatever is wrong with him? Who knows as the CSI drifts off to sleep again.
