Training a dragon isn't about your will or his, it's about the bond between you [video]
Sure as a kid he'd taken care of animals on the farm when they had enough money to afford things like livestock and there were always chickens and barn cats around. Even in Central Mick had a soft spot for strays. (some would argue that's how he wound up with a couple of Snarts in his life but that's another story) Mick would clean them up and discreetly leave a box with a small puppy or litter of kittens with the local foster. Nothing permanent for him, not with his lifestyle. Too risky.
But here? Here it's just weird.
There are dinosaurs and now an influx of dragons and maybe it's the fire simmering beneath his skin or something else, but any hatchling he seems to find immediately starts following him with eager chirps and trills. The cold ones he sends over to Leo, the fire ones he does his best to warm and the water ones?
Well. So far no one had taken issue with him pitching the little ones into the water for a good swim.
But here's Mick's problem. He doesn't have a foster place for the lost ones.
So they follow him.
Everywhere.
The apartment has about a half dozen or more hatchlings flapping about. One hanging off a curtain, another taking up residence in Cisco's TARDIS mug, at least three clambering over Mick's shoulders and arms. It's safe to say he's pretty distracted when one picks up his device and starts poking curiously at it.
Hello Los Angeles. You are now nose to nose with a very curious baby dragon sending a message from Mick's comm and happily flying around the apartment with it so you get a good view of Mick being treated like a draconic jungle gym and a handful of hatchlings making themselves comfy.
