They finished their run, created that dark matter wave and somehow managed to stumble their way back into Star Labs. Someone, and he has no idea who, ended up depositing Savitar in a spare gurney with a swing table full of power bars in front of him along with a couple of tubes of glucogel. He's on his fifth or maybe tenth saline IV. Exhausted is probably not the right word, but is there a stronger one?

He doubts it.

At various points, he's either actually sleeping or pretending to sleep. One can probably tell the difference.

It's a couple hours after the speedsters return to the lab that Savitar gets a visitor. Cisco had spend most of the last few hours by Mick's bedside, but the man had yet to wake up, and he couldn't stand to just sit there and wait. So he decides to check in with Savitar in the meantime.

"Pretending to sleep won't keep Caitlin from taking your vitals," he points out with a small smile.

He opened his eyes, looking over at Cisco. He can imagine how worried he is over Mick, but somehow manages to keep any comments to himself about it. "No. But it keeps people from trying to tell me what they are."

A snort as he sits beside the bed.

"Fair enough," he allows. "I just wanted to thank you."

He opens his eyes, looking at Cisco. "You did?"

[goodviberations]

A small laugh at his surprise. "Yeah, man. You risked your life to make that wave of dark matter. You saved lives. That deserves at least a little gratitude."

[vivifier]

He blinks. Anyone else, he'd keep waving it off, and yet here? He doesn't. "...so they're okay?"

"Everyone's okay," he promises. "Well, Mick hasn't woken up yet. But the radiation levels in his system are dropping, so Caitlin is optimistic."

[vivifier]

He frowns a little bit. "He's not awake yet?" What's this feeling? Shit, is it concern? What have you people done to him?

[goodviberations]

"Not yet," he says, and the tension around his shoulders shows how badly that's effecting him. "But he had a lot more radiation to work through. We just have to give it time."

[vivifier]

"So he'll be okay." Nodding. "Are you okay?"

[goodviberations]

He looks surprised by the question.

"Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be?"

[vivifier]

He quirks an eyebrow. Seriously? Still with that? "I know you were worried about him."

[goodviberations]

A faint blush. "He's my friend. It worries me that he's still so sick."

[vivifier]

"Sure. Obviously." That must be it.

[goodviberations]

He sighs. Your sarcasm is not appreciated.

"What do you want me to say, Savitar? That I'm worried because I have feelings for him? What will that change?"

[vivifier]

"You have to realize he has feels for you too. Don't you?" Or maybe they're both blind as bats.

A huff. "You sound like Barry and Caitlin."

[vivifier]

"How dare you." Good god, can Savitar actually make a joke? Alert the news, there's a new headline for the hour. "Does that make it somehow not true?"

[goodviberations]

"It wasn't true when they said it, so it's not true when you say it," he clarifies. "Mick doesn't...he doesn't see me that way."

[vivifier]

"How do you know?" A challenge. "Did he say so?"

[goodviberations]

"Sav, he doesn't have to. Short and nerdy isn't exactly his type," he points out.

[vivifier]

"Really. And what is his type?"

[goodviberations]

He doesn't actually have an answer to that, but he doesn't think "not me" is going to be a convincing argument.

"I asked them, and I'm asking you too. Just drop it. Please."

[vivifier]

Honestly, he'd probably argue about it if not for the headache from all that running. Savitar and arguing about it kind of go hand and hand, don't they? So, instead, he shrugs. "Sure."

Yeah, this is totally dropped. Look how dropped it is.
