Time Storm - Final Event log!

It's time.

Rip did not want to open his eyes. They hurt too much for him to even think about making the movement. There was also that pesky little problem of seeing time threads it was like the worst kind of sun blindness anyone has ever experienced and then some.

He squeezed his eyes shut tight and tried not to move because no one is going to care if he was alive or dead anyway.

She had been making her rounds and checked on the patients that were brought in to see how they were reacting with the treatments after the dark matter had been brought through. She was checking on Rip's vitals and recording them when she saw a little bit of movement. She frowned a little bit and looked at his chart again. Caitlin moves to his bedside to check on what sort of IV bags they had him hooked up to and frowned a little bit more.

"Mr. Hunter?" she asked. "If you can hear me, could you please nod?"

Rip barely managed a jerk of his head before he was groaning in pain. " well that is severely unpleasant," he moaned. He opened his eyes a bit trying to resist the urge to simply close them again. He could still see time it seemed and he wasn't ready to deal with what the threads were sure to show him this time. "Did we win," he asked Catlin softly.

She chuckled at that. When she saw his eyes open, she tried to give him a friendly smile.

"We did. Bart, Barry, and Savitar all managed to generate enough dark matter to counteract the radiation poisoning effects enough for STAR Labs to begin treatments to help bolster you the rest of the way back to health. How's the pain level?"

Rip fully opens his eyes and follows the thread that was this particular event pleased to see things seem settled. He then focused on himself. "Normally with my powers my pain level is a four, today it's about an eight. I really need to learn to control my abilities."

"I think there's something for that."

She made a note on his chart.

"I'm going to see if we can get you some painkillers so we can bring it back down to a four. But we need to make sure it doesn't interfere with the treatment we have you on right now."

If anyone thought Mick was going to stay in medical any longer than absolutely necessary, they were crazy.

.. in fact, he's just going to slip out with Haircut dozing in his jacket when nobody else is looking. But he does stop by the bed where English is still looking like hell.

He deserves to know.
Even after everything that he's done.

"Sara's gone." So Mick is the only one left who knows the extent of what Rip Hunter has done. He's just.. not sure what to do with that knowledge yet.

 Rip had been working on how to choose what threads he sees and when when Mick speaks to him. For a moment he feels a stab of regret mixed with slight relief. "I...I'm sorry," he says, "I assure you that I will not be seeking to be the Wave Rider's captain again Mr Rory."

The little dragon in his jacket chirps sleepily and Mick rolls a shoulder at the apology because he doesn't trust the man any further than he could drop kick him.

"Good. Cause that job is filled and it ain't you. Never mind that Gideon is offline and won't let anyone in."

Rip is instantly paying attention a worried expression on his face. "Gideon is offline," he asks, "Gideon is designed to never go off line unless something has compromised her systems." He swings his legs around so that he is now sitting completely up. "And the fact she is off line and Captain Lance is gone at the same time is not good. I should see if my passcodes still work. I could figure out what's wrong."

"Think you forgot that I hijacked that ship once. I know the systems. AI is offline, only responds when she sees fit and any attempts to hack in get you shocked or worse. Speedster tried to phase through the ship and got his arm busted all to hell and back."

His lips twitch. "Don't go getting your ass kicked over this. We already tried."
